Timmy Holiday is a gold certified hip hop producer based in Dublin Ireland. Through creating samples and melodies he has landed credits with Logic, Joey Bada$$, Octavian & more. In this class, he is going to teach you everything he knows about crafting placement-ready samples from scratch. During the class, Timmy will share with you his in-depth creative process, from start to finish. You’re going to follow along as he creates 3 different & unique samples from scratch. The first class focuses on the use and treatment of MIDI, focusing on using oneshots to create unique and spacey synth inspired soundscapes. The second class is be based around chopping long piano improvisations into concise loops which can be further built upon. The third class focuses on the use of acoustic guitar and the layering of vocals to create vibey alt-RNB moods. Along the way, Timmy will be be explaining everything that he is doing, why he's doing it, what instruments, plugins & gear he’ll be using, and general thoughts on music creation. He will show you how to layer up tracks that work in support of each other, come up with ear grabbing arrangements, and how to get out of your own way when it comes to making music By the end of the class, you’ll know everything you need to create unique compositions & samples yourself, learning how to find a distinct sound that will help you stand out and hopefully get placements with some of the biggest hip hop artists in the world.
