In the summer of 1992, I sat in front of 25 angry men—all at breaking points in their relationships, all desperate to know how to control their anger and create calm, loving, respectful relationships with the people they loved.

I was a naive 22-year-old volunteer counselor who only knew some basic anger management tools.

No pressure, of course.

I don't remember exactly what I said that day. What I do remember is this: over the next 30 years, I sat in many more rooms with thousands of men and women who were trapped by their anger and terrified of losing their families.

Over time, I got better and better at teaching people how to control their anger. Soon, the people I worked with were making changes in days that previously would have taken weeks or even months.

Now, anger management isn't just part of what I do - it's my sole focus and passion. Every day, I work with people who feel trapped by their anger, helping them find hope and rebuild the trust they thought was lost forever. I've witnessed the pain that uncontrolled anger causes, but I've also seen the incredible transformations that happen when someone gets the right support and refuses to give up.
