My name is Brent Hutchinson, and music has been my life for as long as I can remember.
I began studying classical piano at the age of six, reaching Grade 5 before discovering my true passion—the guitar. At fifteen I picked one up for the first time and never looked back.
Over the last 30+ years I've toured throughout the UK and Europe, fronting successful blues and rock bands, recording multiple acclaimed albums and EPs, performing on radio around the world, and sharing the stage with many respected names in the blues-rock scene.
Alongside performing, I've dedicated my career to helping other guitarists improve.
I hold a Degree in Music Performance together with a teaching qualification, worked for many years as a University Guitar Lecturer, and built my own successful guitar school where I helped hundreds of players develop their confidence and musicality.
But here's something I noticed...
Almost every student arrived with the same frustration.
They knew scales.
They'd watched countless YouTube videos.
They'd bought books.
Yet when a backing track started...
...they had absolutely no idea what to play.
The problem wasn't talent.
The problem was that guitar education had become far too complicated.
So I spent years refining a teaching method that strips away the confusion and focuses on what really matters...
Playing music that actually sounds good.
That's exactly why I created Solo Fast.
Everything inside this app comes from decades of performing, recording, touring and teaching—not from theory books.
Every lesson is designed to help you sound more expressive, more confident and more musical as quickly as possible.
Because great solos aren't about knowing the most scales...
They're about making people feel something.
My Promise To YouI won’t bury you in endless theory or complicated jargon. I’ll guide you step by step, showing you exactly what you need to know so you can start playing solos with confidence, feel, and musical expression.
I won't waste your time.
I'll simply teach you the same methods that have helped hundreds of my students finally enjoy improvising.
Let's make your guitar sing.
