"While testing The Music Producer's Guide app, I found it genuinely helpful for my own creative process—even after years in the industry."
My journey into music production started in a small bedroom studio, with a used computer, entry-level equipment, and a clear sense that this was what I wanted to do with my life. I remember the thrill and challenge of learning my first DAW—exploring rock, electronic, pop, and experimental genres, and striving to create music that resonated with listeners the way my favorites inspired me. But I also remember the frustrations: the lack of clear guidance, and the struggle to balance creativity with the realities of life and building a career.
After some early successes, I faced a number of personal and career challenges that made my creative practice inconsistent and allowed self-doubt to take over. Up to that point, I didn't have any systems in place to maintain my practice—my creative process was driven solely by passion, inspiration, and excitement. So, I poured my creative energy into audio engineering and working on other artists' projects for about a decade. Those years weren't lost; I developed a high level of technical skill. Yet, the itch to create my own music persisted. Over the past decade, I've rebuilt my creative practice and learned a lot along the way.
At various stages of my career I've worked with people at all levels of the industry as a music producer, musician, audio engineer, composer, promoter, or educator, collaborating with artists across genres and backgrounds. These experiences shaped my belief that the right support and structure can transform a spark into a sustainable, fulfilling creative practice. It's important to me that music production is accessible and inclusive—no matter your age, genre, identity, or life situation.
I created this app for two reasons: 1) to be a 24/7 coach for the practical topics in my book, and 2) to be the interactive resource I wish I'd had: an effective, flexible guide for any producer who wants to improve their skills, develop artistic resiliency, build healthy creative habits, and start sharing their music confidently. The app is designed to meet you where you are, whether you have a few hours a week or can dedicate yourself full-time. It covers creative process, how to learn technical skills, career planning, networking, the importance of self-care in a demanding industry, and a lot more.
My hope is that this app becomes the coach and companion guide I wish I’d had: a resource that helps you stay motivated, make real progress, and connect with a supportive community. Whether you dream of releasing on labels, building a DIY following, or just making music you love, I’m here to help you get there—one step at a time.
Whether you're just starting out or looking to reignite your creative spark after years in the industry, this app is designed to support your growth.
