When I first set out to learn Spanish, I didn’t have a tutor, a classroom, or even a structured course. I started from scratch, teaching myself every word and phrase I needed to get by. My journey took me through South America, where I relied on Spanish every single day—ordering food, asking for directions, making friends, and navigating real-life situations that textbooks never seem to cover.

I quickly realized that most traditional language courses waste time on vocabulary and grammar you rarely use when actually traveling or living in Spanish-speaking countries. What I needed was practical, everyday Spanish—the kind locals use, not the kind you memorize for a test.

Through trial, error, and countless conversations with native speakers, I figured out exactly which words and phrases matter most. I built this app to save others from the frustration I faced, focusing only on the Spanish you’ll actually use in real travel and daily life.
