Over the course of nearly 30 years in medicine, I’ve cared for tens of thousands of patients—including many who suffered the devastating consequences of uncontrolled high blood pressure. Strokes, heart disease, kidney damage… outcomes that were often life-altering and, in many cases, preventable. Seeing this again and again profoundly impacted me and reinforced the urgent need to address the root causes of high blood pressure—not just react after damage is done.
