As a board-certified Internal Medicine physician, I spent decades caring for individuals facing the serious complications of type 2 diabetes—from vision loss to kidney disease, nerve damage to amputations, and heart attacks to strokes. I also saw the significant emotional and financial strain this common condition places on individuals and families.

For many years, the idea of helping people meaningfully reduce their risk of developing type 2 diabetes—or improve their overall health through lifestyle—felt out of reach. Today, there is a growing body of evidence showing that lifestyle plays a powerful role in overall health and well-being.

Globally, an estimated 1.3 to 1.5 billion people are affected by prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. In the United States, nearly 1 in 2 adults fall somewhere along this spectrum. Worldwide, this is one of the fastest-growing chronic health concerns, and many individuals with prediabetes are unaware of it.
This app was created to provide educational, lifestyle-based guidance to help users better understand how daily habits may influence overall health, including blood sugar balance.

Many people are told to “eat better” or “live healthier,” but are not given clear, practical steps. This app breaks those concepts down into simple, actionable ideas based on the six pillars of Lifestyle Medicine.
