For more than 15 years, I’ve helped people navigate the relationships that matter most. Through my clinical work, coaching, research, writing - and my own experience raising a family - I kept seeing the same thing: people can love each other deeply, have the best intentions, and still get stuck in patterns that create more stress, disconnection and conflict.
That’s what led me to develop the PCN Method (Perspective, Communication and Nurture), a research-informed communication framework designed around three needs that shape how we experience hard moments: Connection, Self-Determination and Safety.
PCN teaches us to slow down and understand what’s happening beneath a behavior or reaction before jumping in to fix it. From there, we can communicate in ways that create more voice and ownership, while still maintaining the boundaries, expectations and follow-through that help change last.
I created Instant Harmony because knowing this in theory and accessing it in a hard moment are two very different things. When emotions are high, most of us fall back on what we know - nagging, lecturing, yelling, shutting down, avoiding, fixing or giving in.
Instant Harmony brings the PCN Method into those moments, giving families real-time support for what’s happening today while helping them build the skills to handle what happens tomorrow.
