For as long as I can remember, anxiety has been a constant companion in my life. Even as I studied for my doctorate and rose the academic ladder, I found myself wrestling with racing thoughts, sleepless nights, and the relentless chatter of what I call the 'monkey brain.' My professional journey began with a deep desire to understand these patterns—not just for myself, but for the countless clients I saw struggling with the same invisible battles.
Over the past twenty years, I’ve worked with individuals from all walks of life, helping them navigate anxiety using evidence-based techniques like mindfulness and self-compassion practices. But I also looked at the physical side of how the brain worked. And putting the two together got the best possible results. Again and again, I saw how powerful it could be to have simple, accessible tools to interrupt anxious spirals and bring the mind back to the present.
This app grew out of my own need for practical, everyday support. I wanted something that could fit into a busy schedule, offer real relief in the moment, and help build lasting resilience over time. Every exercise, reflection, and strategy in the app is grounded in both clinical research and my personal experience—tested in the real world, not just in textbooks.
