Ever since I was a child, drawing has been my favorite way to express myself and tell stories. I remember the excitement—and sometimes frustration—of trying to bring my ideas to life on paper, when I wasn't properly trained. My journey took me through several art schools and trainings during my early university years, and I graduated with a certificate as a comics illustrator. Later, I studied book trade, which deepened my understanding of storytelling and art analysis—skills that have become invaluable in my creative process.
Throughout the years, I’ve continued to study art with a variety of teachers, always seeking new techniques and perspectives to expand my abilities. Today, I work as an illustrator and concept artist, both independently and as part of an indie games development team. My experience has taught me that anyone can learn to draw, but the key is having clear, accessible guidance to keep your progress consistent.
I created this app because I know how overwhelming it can feel when you want to start learning but don't know what path to follow. Also, most conventional methods insist on teaching you to draw realistically first, and only once realism mastered, do they allow you to start stylizing your drawings. This approach has never spoken to me, because I found realism deeply overwhelming as a beginner, and achieving a realistic style was not what drove me back then.
I truly believe that the most important factor in consistency is having a strong motivation to achieve what you desire. And I believe that giving you the tools to achieve that from the start will help you stay more consistent over time, rather than forcing a "standard, optimal" curriculum if it doesn't work for you.
I also think that breaking down the process into manageable steps is key, so you don't feel discouraged. I will help you build a simple, functional drawing style at first, so you can already start expressing your ideas on paper rather quickly, and then build upon that knowledge, step by step, to reach your artistic goals without overwhelm.
I hope this app will help you learn to draw at a comfortable pace and give you the skills to achieve your goals. Remember, all you need is a pencil, eraser, and paper to begin your creative journey. I can’t wait to see what you create!
