Horses have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started riding as a child, and over the years I found myself asking the same question again and again: Why do some riders seem to move effortlessly with their horse while others struggle, even when they know what they're supposed to do? That question eventually led me to study physiotherapy. I wanted to understand how the rider's body influences balance, communication, and performance—and how we could help riders improve in a way that traditional riding instruction often doesn't address.
Over the past 20 years, I've worked as both a riding coach and a physiotherapist, later specializing in animal physiotherapy as well. Combining these fields has given me a unique perspective on the partnership between horse and rider. I've seen how small changes in posture, breathing, mobility, and body awareness can make a remarkable difference—not only to the rider, but also to the horse.
Again and again, I've met riders who were told to "sit deeper," "relax," or "keep your leg still," yet no one explained how to make those changes. That's where my passion lies. I love helping riders understand why they struggle, what their body is doing, and how simple, practical exercises can create lasting improvements. This app brings together everything I've learned from years of coaching riders, treating both horses and people, and studying movement. My goal is not to help you achieve a perfect position, but to help you become a more balanced, comfortable, confident rider who can move with your horse instead of against them.
Whether you're riding once a week or every day, I hope this app helps you better understand your body, enjoy your riding even more, and build an even stronger partnership with your horse.
