For much of my life, creativity was the place i felt most alive.
I worked as a photographer, created music, wrote songs, sang, painted, and followed the pull of beauty, nature, sound, and expression. But I also know what it feels like to lose contact with that creative aliveness. To overthink, compare, judge the result too soon, or feel pressure to create something impressive.
Over time, I began to see creativity less as a talent you either have or don’t have and more as a living capacity that can be practiced.
Attention can become sharper.
Imagination can become more available.
Expression can become more honest.
Intuition can become easier to trust.
Rest can become part of the process.
I created Ember as a simple daily space to practice these tools through small real moments of noticing, imagining and expressing.
My hope is that Ember helps you feel close to your creative life again. Whether you write, sing, paint, parent, build, move, speak, photograph, or simply want to feel more alive, this app is here to help you begin where you are and create from what feels real.
