When I first started my career in accounting over 40 years ago, I quickly realized how challenging it can be for students to truly grasp the toughest concepts in financial, managerial, and intermediate accounting. As a CPA, auditor, tax preparer, and accounting professor, I’ve seen firsthand where students struggle most—whether it’s understanding accruals, mastering cost-volume-profit analysis, or tackling complex topics like consolidations and derivatives.
My journey as a writer and educator led me to author four Dummies books, including The CPA Exam for Dummies and Cost Accounting for Dummies. I’ve written and edited thousands of accounting questions for clients, always with the goal of making difficult topics clear and approachable.
