Years ago, I realized how powerful this game could be—not just as a pastime, but as a way to sharpen the mind, boost confidence, and bring people together. I started LA LA Mahjong to share that experience, teaching group classes, private lessons, and hosting events for companies and organizations across Los Angeles. LA LA Mahjong now has two full leagues (ran similar to a bowling league)!
Over the years, I’ve developed a step-by-step teaching method that takes absolute beginners from their very first tile all the way to advanced strategy and tournament play. The LA LA Mahjong League of Los Angeles is now in its seventh season, and almost every single championship trophy has been won by one of my students.
