As a trauma and emotional wellness therapist, I spend every day supporting people who may look okay on the outside, but inside feel overwhelmed, stuck in negative thoughts, disconnected from themselves, or unsure how to calm their body when emotions feel like too much.
This work is also personal to me. When I migrated to the United States from El Salvador as a child, I had to learn a new language, navigate a new culture, and often speak for my family in situations that felt too big for my age. I didn’t have the words for it back then, but I now understand how much anxiety and self-doubt I carried in my body.
Over time, I noticed that many people were never taught how to understand what they’re feeling, name their emotions, regulate their nervous system, or respond to themselves with compassion. I also saw how self-criticism and feeling “not good enough” can keep people stuck, even when they are deeply motivated to grow.Through my clinical work, I’ve helped clients learn to identify their emotions, understand their patterns, practice coping skills, and respond to difficult moments with more calm and clarity. I know how powerful it can be to have simple, structured tools that make emotional growth feel accessible, supportive, and doable.
That’s why I created CalmPath — to offer practical, therapist-designed guidance for people who want support between therapy sessions, while waiting to begin therapy, or while exploring emotional support for the first time.
