For over 26 years, I've worked as a Registered Clinical Psychologist, supporting neurodivergent adults through some of their toughest moments. My clinical practice is grounded in DBT, ACT, and NLP, but my understanding of meltdown and shutdown goes far beyond textbooks and therapy rooms—it's deeply personal. As a late-diagnosed neurodivergent adult, I've experienced firsthand the collapse of cognition and the tidal wave of overwhelm that so many mental health apps simply don't account for.
