I started More Than Grand in 2019 after noticing a gap that surprised me: expectant and new parents have shelves of books and endless resources, but the grandparents in their lives have almost nothing. No practical guidance for a role that's changed enormously since we raised our own kids—new parenting norms, new expectations, new ways families work.

Over the years I've heard from thousands of grandparents, and I've seen the same pattern again and again: small misunderstandings with adult children grow into lasting distance, while a little intentional communication and presence builds bonds that last a lifetime. The difference usually comes down to knowing what you don't know you don't know.

That's why I built this app. It's the practical, in-the-moment coaching I wished existed when I started this work—help for navigating real situations, communicating well with your adult children, and building genuine connection with your grandchildren, before small missteps become big rifts.

My hope is that it gives you the confidence and clarity to step into this role with intention and joy. I'm glad to walk alongside you as you build stronger family relationships and make memories that last.
