My journey with clay began more than three decades ago. From the moment my hands first hit the clay I knew I'd found something — and I've never really stopped since. Over the years I've specialised in hand building and sculptural ceramics, exhibited internationally, and picked up a few awards along the way. But what keeps me going is watching other people discover what clay can do for them.
In my Cambridgeshire studio I've worked with makers of every background — complete beginners who've never touched clay, and experienced artists refining their voice. Through workshops, courses, and mentoring, I've seen again and again how transformative it is when people reconnect with their creativity, whether they're chasing technical mastery or just the quiet pleasure of making something with their hands.
I genuinely believe everyone is born creative. Clay has a way of reminding us of that. My approach has always been supportive, inclusive, and non-judgemental — but I also know that honest, kind feedback is where real growth happens. I've shared what I know through my YouTube channel, online courses, and retreats built around the grounding, almost meditative experience of working with your hands.
This app brings it all together — the technical foundations, the creative exploration, the encouragement, and the space to find your own way. Wherever you are in your clay journey, my hope is that it helps you make with more confidence, more curiosity, and more joy.
