Growing up, I had no idea I had the power to create my own future. Call it tall poppy syndrome or the “don’t get too big for your boots” English mentality, I had no idea that how we see ourselves creates our reality.
I know what it is like to live in a place of self-doubt. For seven years at the height of my fitness career I struggled with severe panic attacks. All stemming from the idea that to be successful I also needed to be perfect. Both impossible and exhausting.
Fast forward many years, a year-long study in positive psychology, and time spent with a few wise and brilliant mentors, I found the science to understand that my brain was only trying to keep me safe and the strategies to make friends with my mind.
Through years of research, teaching, and personal experience, I discovered that our biological drive for safety is both a gift and a challenge. It protects us, but it can also keep us stuck. I’ve spent the past decade helping people rewire their minds, so they can move from fear to flourishing.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the joy of creating mindset courses and personal growth programs that have supported people through meaningful change. I also served as Vice President of Mindset and Personal Development for a well-known wellness company, where I helped bring the science of mindset, confidence, and behavior change to a wider audience.
