My journey into mindfulness began long before I started producing, writing, and directing "The Mindfulness Movement" documentary. I was struggling with a stressful TV production job, a wife and young kids at home, and anger issues that too frequently boiled over. I turned to meditation and then more specifically to cultivating mindfulness. As mindfulness helped me, I began to feel a passion to share it with others using my documentary filmmaking skills. I had the privilege of interviewing many of the world’s leading mindfulness experts, as well as everyday people from all walks of life, to uncover what really works when it comes to living more mindfully. What struck me most was how often mindfulness is made to seem complicated or inaccessible when, in reality, its most powerful benefits come from simple, consistent practice.
Throughout my career producing shows for various networks and streamers, I’ve been passionate about making complex ideas easy to understand and compelling. I saw firsthand how many people struggled to stick with mindfulness habits, not because they lacked determination, but because they didn’t have the right tools or guidance. That’s why I set out to create this app—a resource that demystifies mindfulness, offers habit-forming tips, and supports all levels of users in building a daily practice that fits real life.
Drawing on insights from my documentary work and my own health journey, I designed the app to be holistic, including not just mindfulness practices but also essential information on sleep, nutrition and movement since these are so closely tied to our mental well-being.
