I've spent over two decades learning, building, collaborating, and designing — and the most valuable thing I can tell you is that the process is learnable. All of it.
Growing up in Hamburg, my father was a photographer and my stepmother ran a boutique that only carried Japanese designers — Comme des Garçons, Yohji Yamamoto. That's where I first understood that clothes could mean something beyond just what you put on your body.
I came to New York after RISD and worked at Marc Jacobs — four seasons that taught me how fashion actually functions as an industry, not just as an idea. Where fabrics come from, how a season works, what a production person does versus what a designer does. You don't really know any of it until you go through it.
From there I co-founded Cloak, the cultiest menswear brand in New York in the early 2000s — Ecco Domani award, Vogue/CFDA grant, a real point of view.
In 2007 I launched Robert Geller. Two CFDA awards followed, along with extensive collaborations and consulting work across the industry — with brands including Lululemon, Levi's, Common Projects, Yeezy, Adidas, and many more. Collections carried by Barneys, Harrods, Isetan and dozens of the world's best stores across North America, Europe and Asia.
Most recently I was appointed Creative Director of menswear at Rag & Bone in New York.
Through all of it, what stayed with me was how much I learned by doing — and how badly I wanted someone to show me the full picture early on. The magic of it, the creativity, the thrill of seeing your idea become a real garment that someone puts on and feels great in. And all the tools and knowledge to actually make it happen. That's what this app is. Everything I've refined over two decades — from the first spark of an idea all the way to a production-ready collection. The dream and the craft, together. I built the app I wish I'd had as a student. Now it's yours.
