Art has always been my passion, but my journey has taken me through many creative fields—graphic design, illustration, pet portraits, concept art, and web design. Early in my career, I struggled to find a clear path, often feeling overwhelmed by the sheer variety of techniques and expectations in each discipline. I was fortunate to find resources from some of the industry's best, including Aaron Blaise, David Coleman, Ronnie Williford, Hardy Fowler, and my high school art teacher! Each of them brought a unique perspective, but what struck me most was the underlying system that connected their approaches, regardless of their specialty.
Through years of hands-on experience and mentorship, I realized that the fundamentals of art are universal. Whether you're designing a website or painting a portrait, the same core principles apply. Yet, most aspiring artists never get a roadmap that ties these fundamentals together or shows how to translate them into a professional portfolio.
That's why I created this app—to give artists the structured guidance I wish I'd had when I started. The app distills everything I've learned from my mentors and my own career into a step-by-step process. You'll not only master the essentials, but also learn how to showcase your unique strengths in a portfolio tailored to your chosen art career.
My hope is that this app empowers you to build both skill and confidence, so you can pursue your creative ambitions with clarity and purpose. I can't wait to see the art you'll create.
