For nearly a decade, I’ve helped women break through barriers on their weight loss, fitness, and wellness journeys as a certified personal trainer, fitness nutrition specialist, and wellness coach. I’ve seen firsthand that lasting change is rarely about needing more discipline. It’s about having a realistic plan, support, and habits that can hold up in real life.
Then life tested everything I had taught.
Over the past three years, I experienced my own struggle with weight gain, weight loss, and trying to care for myself while carrying competing priorities. I became a new wife, moved to a new city, and within six months of marriage became a full-time caregiver for my mom as she fought cancer. My routine was in shambles, and the habits that once felt natural became hard to maintain.
That season reminded me that health cannot depend on perfect conditions. It has to work when life is busy, emotional, unpredictable, and demanding.
Step by step, I returned to the foundations I had helped clients build for years: balanced meals, realistic portions, consistent movement, and small habits I could repeat even on difficult days. I stopped chasing an all-or-nothing routine and built one that supported my well-being in the season I was actually living.
That is why I built Healthy Habits.
