My journey with creative journey began long before crochet. From 2000 to 2005, I studied Dressmaking in Slovakia, where I developed a strong foundation in garment construction, sewing techniques and craftsmanship. Sewing has always been more than skill to me- it's been a lifelong passion and a way to express my creativity.
Crochet came into my life later, in 2017 when I was pregnant with my second son. I wanted to learn how to crochet a simple blanket. I had no idea where to begin. I didn't know what supplies to buy, how to hold the hook, or which projects were suitable to a complete beginner.
I searched Youtube for tutorials, but often found them difficult to see or follow. The stitches were too small to see clearly and many important details were skipped. As a beginner, I needed someone to slow down explain every step and show everything up close.
I started recording my own crochet projects, simply so I would't forget how I had made them. I never imagined those videos would help thousand of other people.
During the pandemic, more and more people discovered my tutorials. They loved the close-up camera, angles, bright lighting, clear explanations and attention to every tiny detail. That naturally became my signature teaching style.
Through teaching thousands of beginners, I've learned that people don't fail because they lack talent-they struggle because they can't clearly see or understand each step. That's why I believe every detail matters especially when you're learning something new.
Today, my greatest joy is helping others discover the confidence to sew and crochet. There is nothing more rewarding then seeing someone finish their very first project and realise, "I MADE THIS WITH MY OWN HANDS"!
MY GOAL IS SIMPLE: to make learning sewing and crochet enjoyable, stress-free and accessible for everyone- one clear step at time.
