If your mind feels like it works against you more than it works for you, you're not alone, and you are in the right place.
As a teenager, I often felt unseen and unsupported. I didn't reach out for connection because my experience was that no one would help me. I carried those beliefs into adulthood without realizing how much they were shaping me.
When I began meditating more than 30 years ago, I started to see how much I was suffering through catastrophic thinking and ruminating. What began to change everything was letting go of shame and learning to meet my mind with compassion and understanding.
Over the past 25 years I've taught these practices to thousands of people through courses, classes, and guided audio programs, and wrote Friends With Your Mind to make them accessible to anyone. I've worked with people like me who struggled to stay present in daily life, and others who felt hijacked by anxiety or a harsh inner critic.
You are not broken. Your mind learned to protect you, and now you can learn something new.
I offer you a structured, gentle daily practice that meets you where you are, whether your mind races with worry, you're fed up with your inner critic shaming you, or you're just beginning to notice how your thoughts affect you.
My hope is that you come to feel ease and at home in your own mind.
