As the founder of Upward Together, I experienced firsthand the daily stress and unpredictability that can make teaching feel overwhelming. Early in my career, I struggled to find practical ways to support both my students’ emotional needs and my own well-being—without adding to my already full plate. That search led me to explore mindfulness, neuroscience, and the power of creative practices, which I began weaving into classroom routines. The results were immediate: smoother transitions, calmer students, and a stronger sense of community for everyone—including myself.
Driven by these changes, I began leading SEL and mindfulness trainings for teachers across diverse school communities. Through partnerships with organizations like LAUSD, Arts for Healing and Justice Network, and the LA County Dept. of Mental Health, I’ve helped educators integrate quick, CASEL-aligned rituals that fit seamlessly into the school day. My approach is always trauma-informed, practical, and rooted in real classroom experience—because I know what it’s like to need support that actually works.
Along the way, I created Binaural Beat Meditation and developed a library of ready-to-use tools, templates, and reflection prompts that have been piloted and refined with teachers in real classrooms. My coaching is grounded in creativity, with a focus on making SEL accessible, sustainable, and supportive for educators—not another burden.
I built this app to share the exact strategies and resources I’ve seen transform classrooms and teacher well-being. I hope that you’ll find these tools as helpful as I have, and that together, we can create calmer, more connected learning communities—one small ritual at a time.
