You can make the art. The Career is the part nobody taught you.
- You already know your work
- The practice is inconsistent, invisible, or unpaid in a way you cannot explain
- You want a plan, not another motivational lecture

You can make the art. The Career is the part nobody taught you.

Nobody teaches artists how to be artists in the world. How to build a practice that sustains you. How to get the work seen. How to handle the business without hollowing out the work. Most programs stay in the fog teaching you to “follow your vision” or they turn you into a content machine promising “here’s how to sell on Instagram.”
This is neither. This is the curriculum I wish I had at 28. One framework. Grounded in a real studio. Used with 80 artists before it lived in your pocket.

You crushed your goal of completing 3 curriculum modules this month.
Studio practice, artistic identity, and the daily rhythm that makes a career possible. Not more talent. A practice that survives Tuesday.
Get the work out of the room. Audience, applications, residencies, galleries, a site that does not apologize for you.
The long game. Rejection, money pressure, the months when nothing lands. Keep making work when the world makes it hard.
I have mentored 80 working artists across 22 countries. Same pattern every time: real talent, real willpower, and a gap they could not close alone. What was missing was a structure grounded in reality. A daily practice. A proven path. A mentor who has been in the studio long enough to know what you are up against. That framework is now in your pocket.

60 min • Foundational Practice
Follow a path built around your art and your practice, not a generic syllabus.
Show up. Do the session. Build the rhythm that survives a full-time job.
Statement, site, applications, body of work, visibility. One real move at a time
The curriculum I have used with 80 artists, in a form you can start without waiting for a cohort.

Multi-disciplinary artist, 30+ years. Co-host of Just Make Art. Mentor to working artists in 22 countries.
I am Ty Nathan Clark. I have been making work for 30 years, shown in the US, Canada, and Europe, and co-host Just Make Art. I was mentored by Makoto Fujimura. I made a documentary that premiered at SXSW. For 8 years I have run a selective mentorship with artists in 22 countries , artists who could make the work and could not get the rest to move. I have been exactly where you are. I know what the path actually looks like. This is that path, in a form you can start without waiting for the next cohort.
This is my curriculum, in your pocket. A short briefing. A studio session with a job. One career move. A short reflection so the week compounds.
The coach is trained on the process I have used with 80 artists. It keeps you on the path between sessions. It does not replace the field.
Three questions. Then a plan.
Stage. Goal. Catalyst. That is enough to stop guessing.
A path for this season of the work, not a syllabus for a generic artist.

Habits, milestones, and the work leaving the studio, not a streak for its own sake.
It only takes 2 minutes to get started
80 ARTISTS ACROSS 22 COUNTRIES.
Three questions. Then a plan that matches your stage. First days are studio structure and one career move, not a pile of promises. If you want the live cohort, that is a different door. This one is open now.
