My professional journey in interior design began in 2008, after graduating from Design Academy Eindhoven under the guidance of Lidewij Edelkoort.
Like many designers, I was obsessed with creating beautiful interiors. I gave everything to my work, long days, late nights, always pushing for the best possible result.
But over time, I started to realize something wasn’t right.
I struggled with finding the right clients, setting my fees, and guiding projects in a way that actually worked. Clients had doubts, changed direction, and I found myself redesigning over and over again, trying to figure out what they really wanted.
It was exhausting. Creatively and mentally. And the more I pushed, the more it felt like I was losing control over my own work and my time.
Over the years, I built multiple design businesses and co-founded Masters of Interior Design together with Sven van Buuren. Along the way, I published a book, received several awards, and saw my work featured on national television.
But the real shift came when I realized this:
creative talent isn’t enough.
You need structure. Clear decisions. A process that guides both you and your client.
