Jeff Lippencott is the 2x Emmy-nominated composer behind the music for some of the world’s most popular TV shows, including Shark Tank, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, Masterchef, The Biggest Loser, Who Wants To Be a Millionaire, and many more. He's won 30 ASCAP and BMI Film and TV awards, including “Most performed themes and underscores” for the past 10 consecutive years. In this class, Jeff teaches you everything he knows about composing music for reality, documentary and alternative television shows. During the class, Jeff brings you into his studio and share with you his entire creative process from start to finish. Follow along as he develops the complete musical sound of a real show currently in process, starting from how he scores the trailer, all the way through the final mix and bounce of in show music cues. The show used in class "All These Walls" is currently being pitched around Hollywood. First, Jeff creates the underscore for the trailer used to show network execs. Then, he moves forward with the main title theme and underscore based on the assumption that the show is picked up by a network. Finally, he create the complete sound of the show for full and final TV production. Along the way, Jeff explains everything that he's doing. You'll learn Jeff's proven system for writing the most complete and versatile theme and cue library — a system that has now become the standard in alternative programming. Jeff Lippencott

Jeff Lippencott is part of the composing team Ah2, founded in 2003. Ah2 has and continues to be one of the premiere providers of custom and licensed music services for film, television, and other media.   Collaborating with Steven Spielberg for the FOX series On The Lot, to their creative work with producer Mark Burnett on series such as Shark Tank, The Apprentice, The Contender, and Rock Star, Ah2 has had the opportunity to create music for countless global hits. Some of these would include music and themes for series such as Masterchef, Masterchef Junior, The Biggest Loser, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, and American Idol.   The awards they have garnered speak for themselves. Since 2008, Lippencott and Williams have garnered fifty-three (53) ASCAP Film and Television Awards, including the prestigious Most Performed Themes and Underscore Award for ten (10) years. Additionally, they received seven (7) BMI Film and Television Awards and two (2) Primetime Emmy Nominations for Outstanding Main Title Theme.   In addition to screen music, Jeff Lippencott has composed multiple symphonies, hymns (with R.C. Sproul) and concert works. Recently the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum awarded Jeff the Western Heritage Wrangler Award for the recording of his composition “Frontier Symphony.” Jeff Lippencott recently created Vapor to Dust, an artistic expression of gospel/contemporary music entitled “reimaginations” Vol. 1.
