As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2008, I witnessed firsthand how traditional talk therapy often fell short for those struggling with chronic anxiety, overwhelm, or the lingering effects of trauma. I knew there had to be a more direct, compassionate, and scientifically grounded way to help people truly feel safe in their own bodies.
When I discovered Polyvagal Theory, it was a revelation—not just for my clients, but for me personally. I dove deep, studying the neuroscience, experimenting with practical tools, and eventually developing my own clear, step-by-step framework for self-regulation. I was hand-picked to join the Polyvagal Institute's Editorial Board and now peer-review the works of others.
Through my client work, books, podcast, and the Unstucking Academy, I’ve seen the power of demystifying the science and making it accessible. My approach is all about cutting through jargon and giving people practical, actionable skills to use right away—no matter how overwhelmed or stuck they feel.
