Created by Dr. Roger Hale

"After years of helping singers unlock music literacy, I built the app I always wished existed"

Dr. Roger Hale

Dr. Roger Hale

Internationally recognized music educator and choral conductor with 20+ years guiding singers to read, understand, and perform music confidently.

My greatest satisfaction as a music teacher comes from watching a singer gain confidence in their ability to sight read music. Choral singers often suffer from a stereotype of not being real musicians. Singers generally learn music by ear and struggle with complex rhythms. I grew up in a musical home and was so grateful that my parents provided the basics of music reading skills through piano lessons.

At 11 years old I joined school band, playing trumpet. I then realized how empowered I felt as I could read notes and rhythms faster than my peers. It wasn't until later in life that I overcame my insecurities around singing and found the absolute joy of choral and solo singing. Here again, I realized that "singers" have a bad reputation when it comes to their ability to read notes and rhythms. I felt that I could really make a difference in this area by studying music education at Florida State University with some of the most influential music educators in the world.

My mission is to help singers to have the ability and confidence to open a solo or choral score, get their first note and then be able to sing what is on the page a cappella.

This app will empower aspiring and experienced singers with these musicianship skills and more. I want YOU to LEARN THE LANGUAGE OF MUSIC by learning how to sing music at sight, hear melodic and harmonic nuances all with rhythmic integrity.

Follow Roger Hale's proven process & master music reading for singers

Read music notation with confidence
Identify and sing intervals accurately
Master Solfege and Curwen hand signs
Sing in tune alone and with others
Understand key signatures and tonic relationships
Apply chromatic Solfege to complex melodies
Develop rhythmic accuracy and integrity
Connect scale degrees to note names
AI-POWERED COACHING

Every single day in the app is 100% personalized to you.

Built with powerful AI, this app is unlike anything you've ever used before. Your entire experience will be designed just for you, while pulling from Dr. Hale's wealth of knowledge and resources.

This is perfect ! I know the theory of scales but singing them is rather difficult. This helps a great deal. I am kind of glad that music school puts me through this even though I am a drummer. It just makes me more professional during songwriting and while singing instrumental parts which happens more often than you would think :D
Thanks a lot Roger and keep up your very helpful work !

Thank you so much for this! I don’t know why this isn’t taught in school? I got thrown into sight-singing and aural tests at A-Level, having not had to do it before. Naturally, this terrified me and gave me the impression I was rubbish at it. Of course I was rubbish at it. I hadn’t done the elementary aural/sight-singing work that is required to be done in order to get to this level!! I have a really good ear so I’ve got by on that but I need to relate the sounds to what is written down. Curwen hand signs is a new thing to me and I just know they are going to help enormously. Thank you so much!
