Learn through a structured process
Build skills to match your style
Part 1Assembling the Parts of the Shoe
In this part, alongside Dom (the Shoe Surgeon), you’ll create your own original sneaker design, prepare your materials, and cut, skive, and assemble all of the leather pieces. You’ll gain a deep understanding of the construction and components of shoes.
Part 2Bonding and Sewing
In the second part of the class, Dom teaches you how to bond and sew the pieces of your shoes together using a variety of methods. By the end of this part, you will emerge with two, 3-dimensional assemblies, ready to add the soles and finalize.
Part 3Finalizing the Shoe
In the last part of the class, you’ll finish your sneakers, using a technique called lasting to stretch and shape the leather of your shoes. Then, you’ll attach the soles and add the laces. You’ll finish with your own pair of one-of-a-kind Air Jordan 1s.

Hear why students love this class

What was remarkable about this class is that it overdelivers pretty much on every single level...it was way beyond my expectations. I don’t think I have ever experienced that level of motivation and enthusiasm from a peer group in any class, whether it was in-person or online.”

“The way that making a shoe was broken down into digestible chunks over the course of a month was awesome and it made it really easy to fit into a busy life schedule.
