Brycian has been producing out of his bedroom for more than 8 years, without any traditional music training. The definition of a "self-taught" artist, he's forged his way learning everything through the internet. This class is exactly the kind of place to learn and grow all the same.  In this class, Brycian takes you through his process of producing a Bedroom Pop song. During the class, Brycian takes you into his studio and shares with you his entire production process, from start to finish. Follow along with him as he produces 2 brand new songs, one energetic and one emotional, completely from scratch, starting from how he finds a sample and makes it unique, all the way through to the mixing and mastering process. In the first song, Brycian shows you how he creates unexpected twists and turns in an energetic Bedroom Pop song, all while keeping up the momentum needed to keep everybody listening. This is where "tension and release" is the most important - one of Brycian's favorite things in production is playing with the listener's expectations.  In the second song, you'll get to see Brycian's process of creating an emotional song based around soft piano chords and atmospheric samples. Simplicity is key in this one. You'll learn how Brycian balances adding more to make a track sound full, while not adding so much that it takes away from the song itself. As he likes to remind himself in any track he creates, "Leave room for the vocal." Along the way, Brycian explains everything he's doing: his thought process, his techniques, and his tools.
